A WELL KNOWN SHEI'IIEED
News has just been received tli;*t a well-known shepherd, Charles Bridge, was drowned to-d-iy while eroding the Ngaruroro river near Onmli'i in a dray. The body n-- - hit"' recovered, and is now being com eyed to Brottghton's Native Settlement. Deceased was about 25 years of age, and was well known and highly respected in Hastings. It is said that he was to be married shortly
