DIVING FOR LOST TREASURE.

Sydney, May 18. The question of reaching the Catterthun with the apparatus imported for the purpose has been solved. The diver has discovered the tank containing the treasure, and only awaits favorable weather to make the efiort to raise it to the surface. The vessel lies in about 26 fathoms. A case parallel to that of the Catterthun is found in the recovery of £90,000 worth of specie from the steamer Alphonso wrecked at the Grand Canary in 188*5. This vessel was 2&i fathoms from the surface.
