A PROSPEROUS INSTITUTION. 9 PER CENT. DIVIDEND. Sydney, May 18. At the half-yearly meeting of the shareholders of the Bank of New South Wales the report arid balancesheet, which were adopted, showed a net profit of £86,460, which, with the amount not divided last half-year, made £108,509 available for distribution. A dividend at the rate of 9 per cent, per annum was declared, and the sum of £22,129 carried forward. The paid-up capital was increased by £34,000, and the reserve fund by £11,279. The increase in the value of deposits was £1,171,000, and coin and bullion had increased by £1,371,000.
