Burrumbeet is due from Wellington on Monday morning, leaving again for north at 5 p.m. Hie s.s. Kahu is due from Wellington to-morrow evening. The s.s. The captain gave orders for the vessel to go dead slow, and shortly afterwards the haze lifted, and it was seen that the vessel was only a ship's length off the rocks in Oterangi Ray. The captain immediately gave orders "full speed astern." Those in the engine-room thought the vessel had struck, but those,oil deck were of a contrary opinion.
