FRIDAY, MAY 15, 1896. (Before S. Turnbull, Esq., S.M.) At the S.M. Court this morning, a large number of civil cases were disposed of. Minister of Railways v. William Robinson, claim £3 12s, for detention of truck. Amount paid into Court. An application for costs was not granted. Blythe and Co. v.'Te Ivaru, claim £6 10s, for goods supplied. Judgment for amount claimed, with costs £1 4s Gel. Burnett and Co. v. Hikowera, claim £1 12s for goods supplied. Judgment for amount claimed, with costs, £1 17s. Albert Newman v. Albert Hatlierall, claim £2 2s Gd for goods supplied. Judgment for amount claimed" with costs lis. C. R. Guiiby, To Ante, v. Ekangeraengi Hapuku, claim £74 13s 4d for goods supplied. Judgment for amount claimed with costs £2 10s ; solicitor's fee £2 17s Gd. Hugh Campbell v. Powlie, claim £9 damage by trespass. Judgment by consent for Is, with costs, 235. •James Lynn v. William Hislop, claim for £l3 3s for harvesting operations at 17s Gd per acre. Defendant put in a counter claim for £35 for damages caused by the neglect of plaintiff. Mr Ebbett appeared for plaintiff, and MiLewis for defendant. Evidence was adduced at length, and judgment was given against plaintiff on the claim, and in favor of Mr Hislop for £25 on the counter claim, with costs j.B3s and solicitors' fees £2 2s. The case of Thomas Fox v. liana Henemana, claim £O2 ss, for services rendered as interpreter, is occupying the attention of the Court this afternoon. The only other case sett down for hearing is that of Webb v. Greenwood, claim £lB, for building a chimney.
