PETITION IN FAVOUR OF MR RHODES. GOVERNOR ROBINSON EEAVKS ON THE 2(irn. Luxikin, May 11. The Buluwayo Stock Exchange has been converted into an hospital. A petition is being signed in Buluwayo asking that Mr Rhodes be retained in the Chartered Company. The, Dutch Press lias adopted a more friendly tone, but the Berlin Press denounces Mr Chamberlain for defending Mr Rhodes. Capk Town, May 10. Sir Hercules Robinson sails for England on the 26th inst. A force of 200 mounted and HOO foot, with four Maxims, is leaving Buluwayo to endeavour to effect a junction with Mr Cecil Rhodes at Gwelio.
