LORD SHEFFIED IN DISPUTE WITH STODDART.

THE FIRST TEAM TO OPPOSE THE VISITORS.
London, May 8. When Stoddart left for Australia last year ho was unable to accept Lord Sheffield's invitation to play against an All England -Eleven owing to the absence of three of his team. A heated correspondence has since been carried on between these parties, and Lord Sheffield has now closed the gates of his famous park against all the members of Stoddart's team. May 9. C hub am, of the Euatralian eleven, is improving in health. The team practised at Lords on Friday, and as that pitch is superior to Miteham their play has much improved. May 10. The following arc those from whom Lord Sheffield will select a team to play against the Australian cricketers on Monday:— Grace Fry Jackson Davidson T. Hearne Poughter Mold Shrie Prince Kumar Rangtsinghi Gumi Shrewsbury Lilley.
