London, May 6. The Chartered Company's directors are considering the prosperity of accepting Mr Cecil Rhodes' and Mr Best's resignations. Pretoria, May 6. He attributes Dr Jameson's raid to malevolence. He announced his intention of establishing two Consular agents in Germany.

Six of Gilford's Horse met a band of 300 Matabele. Two were killed, and the rest soon beat a retreat.
