DR JAMESON'S TRIAL POSTPONED.
REFORM COMMITTEE'* TRIAL STILL PROCEEDING.
FIVE MEMBERS SENTENCED TO DEATH.
London, April 28. Dr Jameson's trial has been further adjourned until June 11. Tlie evidence adduced to-day showed that a bicyclist sent by the Reform Committee informed Jameson on the Ist January that 2000 men were ready to march to his assistance. Jameson replied that he had lio desire to fight, but that his march would be useful as a demonstration.
Cape Town, April 28
The sentence of death has been passed on five members of the Reform Committee's trial, and a heavy fine, with two years' imprisonment, on 60 others.
Washington, April 29
Both Houses of Congress have carried a petition asking for the pardon of Hammond, who is an American by birth.
