Mr Balfour has stated in the House of Commons that it was the intention of the Government to pass the Voluntary Schools and Relief of Agriculturists Bills, but it was doubtful if the Irish Land Reform Bill could be dealt with if there was to be an extended discussion on it.

A motion giving the Government control of the time for the rest of the session was carried by 142.
