ARRIVALS. The Union Company’s steamer Southern Cross arrived from Wellington and Napier early yesterday morning. Passengers: Miss Ebling, Messrs Campbell, Sustan, Richardson, and three steerage. Shortly af er 6 o’clock last evening the s.s. Australia arrived in the roadstead, from Auckland via East Coast ports, bringing— Mrs Price, Miss Pierce, Messrs McGuire, Burton, and one native. DEPARTURES. The Southern Cross steamed North yesterday morning, taking —Mr and Mrs Comisky, and Miss Brooke-Taylor. The steamer Australia left for N ipier late last night. Passengers: Messrs J. Harris, Mooney, Watson, Rees, and Lindell. IMPORTS. Per Southern Cross—ls drums, 1 box, 49 pkgs, Common, Shelton and Co.; 1 truss, 1 bale, Moore and Co. ; 11 pkgs, 20 sashweights, 1 case, Clayton and Sawyer; 3 pkgs, 1 case, Townley; 1 pkg, Kennedy and Evans; 4 cases, Williamsand Kettle; 75 pkgs, Pitt and Maguire ; 5 cases Whinray ; 20 cases, 65 pkgs, Dunlop and Bourke; 1 case, Adair; 1 pci, 1 truss, Pettie and Harper; 1 pkg, Morgan. EXPORTS. Per Southern Cross—9 bides, Williams and Kettle, 40 sacks grass seed, order. The Union Company’s steamer Tarawera. which left Auckland yesterday, should reach Gisborne about 1 o'clock this afternoon. She goes on South, the last launch leaving at 4 The Union Company's steamer Rotomahana arrives from South to-morrow morning. She only goes as f.ir as Auckland this trip, returning here on Friday next. The locally-owned ketch Venus (Captain Wares) leaves Napier for Greymouih to day for a cargo of coals.
