TELEGRAPHIC. Lyttelton, yesterday. Arrived—S.s. Kahu, at 5 a.m., from the Chatham Islands. Auckland, Tuesday. Bailed — Southern Cross, at 6 30 p.m., for East Coast porte and Gisborne. The schooner Gisborne will leave Auckland for Gisborne on at about the 19;h inst. The schooner Wai were left Mercury Bay on Saturday last, with a cargo of timber for Clayton and Sawyer, and is due in the bay at any moment, • The s.s. Kiwi is expected here to-morrow, from Napier, She bring! a load of limber tor the Kaileratahi bridge. Ths schooner Saucy Kate left Napier last Saturday for Greymouth, where she loads up with coals tor the Gisborne Gas Company. The New Zealand Shipping Company's ship Opawa, which arrived in Lyttelton about two weeks ago from London, is expected to reach hero about the 20th. She loads up at this pirt with frozen mutton. The steamer Mararoa, from Sydney and Auckland, leaves the latter port at neon tomorrow, arriving here about 1 o’clock on Saturday.. She goes on to Melbourne and Hobart, via Southern ports, in the evening, the last launch going off at 5. The steamer Southern Cross arrives from the North this evening. The steamer Australia, from Wellington and Napier, is expected here on Friday morning.

The locally-owned topsail schooner Awaroa is now due here from Mercury Bay.
