The Trust Commissioner on Monday granted certificates to the following deeds of transfers From Paul Parau to W. Morris of Hauomatuku No. 3a ; from Ngaraigikahuia to W. Morris of Hauomatuku ; from Piriniha Takamoana to A. McLean of Takopa No. 1b; from Pera-te-Weri to G. Harding of Kaiti 170 ; from Mere Waimanuka to G. Harding of Kaiti section 171; from Tapeha Iretoroand another to P. McLoughlin of Kaiti section 196 One of Mr Arthur's Committeemen writes to our contemporary, professing ignorance ss to what Mr Kelly has done during the long period he has been in Parliament. It is a pity that some more intelligent, or less unfair, member of the Committee weio not entrusted with such correspondence, for it betokens the most pitiable Ignorance of New Zealand politics when a man says he has not before heard of Mr Kelly. That gentleman, as every one who keeps himself enlightened on political matters must know, has been an indefatigable worker in the House, He has devoted a great deal of time to Committee work ; though he has never made any “ flash in the pan,“ lie has applied himself to good, bard work. Mr Arthur, thinking to gain a point at Opotlki, praised Mr Kelly, and confessed that he had done him many good services. When dear Mr Arthur came to Gisborne, however, he had not the fairness to make any such acknowledgment, while a Committeeman, under the screen of anonymity, teaks to mislead people, Such is generosity in politics I
