The rain came down in torrents last night, but that did not prevent a large attendance at the Bellringers and Faust Family entertainment at tho Theatre Royal, The play is certainly one of the most popular that has visited Gisborne, there being plenty of fun besides clover musical performances. All through the evening tho audience showed their warm appreciation of the cleverness of the performers, and round after round of applause greeted every item, and in some instances there was an unmistakeable domonstration that ons encore was not sufll olent to satisfy the audience. The pro gramme was much the came as that on Saturday evening, but those who had been present then were quite pleased to have a second opportunity of witnessing the same excellent performances. There was not a pause between any item that was not filled up by laughter and applause. Granted anything like reasonable weather, the company >s bonnd to run a very successful season in Gtaborne. Parents should give tho children tho privilege of attending to* iilurrow uftoruooii |
