Alfred James Thomas was brought up again yesterday, charged with stealing a piece of firewood valued at slxpeooe, tha property of J. M. Arundel, and was sentenced to 14 days' hard labor. Constable Hansen, who bad been on the watch, had caught the defendant in Derby Street, conveying a pieos of firewood for the possession nt which he was Unable tosatislaotorily account.
