THE NEUTRALITY OF SAMOA. Replying to a question from Mr McArthur, Sir James Fergusson said that Great Britain would preserve the neutral position of Samoa. Zanzibar, Dec. 22. Colonel Evan Smith, British ConsularGeneral here, has been instructed to warn the Saltan against proceeding with the execution Of rebellious natives.
