For Auckland, Sydney, and United Kingdom (via ’Frisco), per Mararoa, on Saturday, at 7.30 p.m. HOLIDAYS.—On the 25th inst. and Ist Jan., Poet Offices wiii observe a close holiday, but on Boxing Day will be open, in all branches, from 9a m. till 10 a.m. Mails usually des* patched on Christmas and New Year days will close the preceding evenings at 7.30, but on Boxing Day the usual despatch of mails up to 10 a.m. will be made. The letter carrier will make one delivery on Boxing Day, commencing st 8 a.m. On evenings of the 24th and 31st inst., town letters may be obtained on application at the Post Office counter. Private box lobbies—Sunday hours on Christmas and New Year days ; usual on Boxing Day. The Telegraph Office will open each holiday from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. till 8 p.m. local. mails. For Makaraka, Waerenga-a-hika and Ormond, daily at 2.30 p.m., and arrive at Gisborne daily at 11 a.m. for Wairengaokuri, Tiniroto and Wairoa, every Monday, at 11 a.m., and arrive at Gisborne every Thursday, at 5 p.m. For Waimata Valley, every Monday, al 1.30 p.m , and arrive at Gisborne every Monday, at 10.30 a.m. For Tologa Bay, Tokomarn, Tuparoa, Ak®. aku. Port Awanui, Waipiroßay and Raagatukia every Friday, at 7 p.m. and arrive at Gisborne every Thursday at 6 p.m. For Te Karaka and Whatatutu, every Tuesday at 2 p.m., and arrive at Gisbcme every* Thursday at 11 a.m. For Hick’s Bay and Te Araroa, every alternate Friday at 7 p.m., and arrive at Gisborne every alternate Thursday at 6.m.
