For Napier and Wellington, per Australia, on Thursday, at 4 p.m. For Auckland, per Maitai, on Thursday, at 7.30 p m For Napier, Wellington, South, and Australian colonies, per Te Anau, on Friday, at 8 p.m. For Auckland, Sydney, and United Kingdom (via ’Frisco), per Mararoa, on Saturday, at 7.30 p.m. HOLIDAYS.—On the 25th inst. and Ist Jan., Post Offices will observe a close holiday, but on Boxing Day will be open, in all branches, from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. Mails usually despatched on Christmas and New Year days will close the- preceding evenings at 7.30, but on Boxing Day the usual despatch of mails up to 10 a.m. will be made. The letter carrier will make one delivery on Boxing Day, commencing at 8 a.m. On evenings of the 24th and 31st inst., town letters may be obtained on application at the Post Office counter. Private box lobbies—Sunday hours on Christmas and New Year days ; usual on Boxing Day. The Telegraph Office will open each holiday from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. till 8 p.m. local, mails.
