Supreme Court Sittings.
Invercargill, yesterday. Vernon, a quartermaster, who attempted to throw the Bluff harbormaster overboard, was acquitted. John Maloney was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment for shooting with intent.
Rudolph Radka, who escaped from gaol some time ago, walked into the Supreme Court to-day, and gave himself up. Auckland, Tuesday. The Supreme Court opened yesterday, the following being the criminal calendar: — William Moore, alias Jno. Armitage, horse stealing; Michael Kirby, abas Lynch, larceny fr »m a dwelling ; Hone Arama, horsestealing ; David Baxte**, (with fo it aliases), breaking and en’ering ; Robert Stevenson, false pretences ; James Henry Lawson, larceny ; Mary Davis, 1 murder ; Te Hira Mahanui and Te Werihana, killing a heifer, with intent to steal the carcass ; John H imilton, jun., burglary ; Francis Benjamin, uttering counterfeit coin ; William Cornish, larceny ; John Dignan (alias Dinan. etc.,) breaking and entering and larceny ; William Moran, larceny; and David Hunter, embezzlement.
