The Barque Deva
On Saturday afternoon the barque Deva completed her loading for London, having made excellent prog-ess in the work of taking in cargo, as the task only occupied about five weeks. The Deva cleared at the Customs last night, and should the weather prove favor ible she will set sail luring the dav for Loi d- n direct. C ptain Davis and the officers have made many friend* during their sniourn in thi* port and leave with many good wishesnf a spe dy and safe passage for the Deva. She ha p under hatches the following cargo :— 276 bales wn< 1, Common Shelton and Co. — £3324 10s 6d ; KlO bales woo’, Graham Pitt and Bennett —£l7 140 j 12 hhds tal’ow, 45 bales wool, D. M Orr —£620; 1711 hale* wool, 65 sacks grass seed, L and M C0£21,615 £21,615 ; 160 bales wool, 12 bales sheepskins, 17 casks tallow, 1 case whalebone—H. E. Johuitou, £238212« Bd. Total £45,128 3s 2d.
