B’ake in the recent difficulty in reference to the Governorship of The Times censures Lord KnutsYord for weakness in receding from the stand he first took up in the matter. The same journal refers in disparaging terms to the selection of Lord Balfour of Burleigh for the appointment to Queensland. Sir B. A. Blake, in a letter to the Tinies, says that although the Parnelhtes numbered among their sympathisers one Newfoundland Minister the fact never affected tbe official cordiality as between Governor and Minister, nor lessened their mutual esteem.
