pEKISTCHURCH, last night. No important work was done at Riccarton this morning. British Lion and St. Clair galloped two miles in good style. Vandal accomplished the same journey at a steady pace. Lorraine did not move so as usua over the Cup distance. Strenuous did not make a very favorable impression on his first apperance. Cuirassier and Leopold went twice round steady, and Son of a Gun covered a mile and a quarter at half speed. Exchange traversed the cup distance alone, and Chain Shot and Engagement made the same journey. Manton was joined by Kuby in the last half mile of a steady gallop over the cup course, but they were not extended, Silvermara arrived last night but was not out before breakfast this morning.
