GISBORNE HARBOR ACT, 1884, AMENDMENT ACT, 1888. EXTENSION OF BREAKWATER. THEREBY give notice that a Pell of the Ratepayers within the Special District, constituted in terms of the above Act, actually on the Ratepayers'Roll, will be held on the 20th October, 1888, at the polling places here' inunder mentioned, for the purpose a* obtaining the consent of a Majority (both as to Number and Value) of the said Ratepayers to a proposal to expend a further sum out Of Loan, of £40,000, for the purpose of extending the Breakwater, now partly constr acted at Gisborne, such expenditure to be lubjco* in all respects to the conditions prescribed and imposed by the above Act. Is Bobouoh or Gisborne,—At the Town Clerk’s Office. Is Gisborne Riding,—At Mr Surrey’s House' Makaraka; at the Court House, Ormond . and at Mr Colebrook's Store, Waerenga a-hika. In Te Abai Riding,—At Mr Willson’s Store Te Aral ; at the Public Hall, Patutahi and at Mr Galloway's Dwelling. Tiniroto, i Is the Waikohu Riding,—At the School House, Karaka. . Is the Waimata Riding,—At Mr Ritchie’s 1 Store, Waimata. • In the Weataufoko Riding,—At Mr Barry’s, • House, Stout Street, Whataupoko.
