The Gisborne Library.

Tk« ordinary monthly meeting of the Gioborne Public Library was held last evening, Present: Messrs Greenwood (in the chair), Kenney, Johnston, Coleman, Watson, and Lucas (Secretary), The Librarian reported the number of subscribers at 98. Donations of newspapers, periodicals pamphlets &c were duly acknowledged with thanks from Messrs Bourke, Adams, Lucas, add Capper. « It was decided to hold an Exhibition of local industrial and art produetions combined with a flower, fruit, vegetable, poultry, and bird show, on Friday and Saturday the 16th and 17th of November. The Secretary was instructed to send out a number of circulars to persons likely to exhibit. At the same time a hope was expressed that every one would co-operate to nuke the affair a uuooeM.
