The schooner Kenilworth had a narrow escape from being wrecked on Thursday afternoon, owing to her cable having given way; but eventually, just at the critical period, the vessel was got into tha river by Captain Kennedy’s dexterous management,' She was drawing 8 feet 3 inches. A ridiculous assertion has been made that the vessel could not have been saved excepting for the breakwater pier ; the truth is the swirl mads It all tl» more dangerous.
