Gisborne Rowing Club.
The annual general meeting of the above club was held in the Masonic Hotel on Thursday evening. About twenty members were present, Mr Barnes being in the chair. The balance sheet was read and adopted. The following new members were elected Messrs A. L. Muir, T. Adair, G. Staite, F. Clayton, E. Evans, A. C. Tibbett, J. M. Dickson, J. Trimmer, W. Chrisp, and F. O’Meara. Dr Pollen was elected President, Mr W. F. Crawford, Vice-President; Mr H. Young, Secretary; Mr Miller, Auditor, Mr Lunn, Treasurer; Messrs Barnes, Bourn, W. A O’Meara, Green, and F. T. Morgan were elected a Committee. The election of a captain was deferred for a fortnight. Votes of thanks were carried to the custodian (MrP. O’Meara), and the retiring officers.
