The committee of the Imperial Institute will meet in October for the puroose of appointing colonial agents. The French Press is jubilant at the retirement of Field Marshall Count ▼on Moltke. The Austrian Press expresses gratification at the appointment of Count Waldersee. Sir John Gorst, in defending him•elf against the attacks recently made on him by the Indian Press has denied that he was a friend of Palmer’s, or that he had any connection with the Hyderabad (Deccan) scandal.
