New Guinea News.

Brisbane July 15. The Isabel, which has arrived at Cooktown from New Guinea, brings the following news: —Mr Bartholomy, connected with the German New Guinea Company, died of fever at Finchaven. The New Ireland natives killed one white man and one native belonging to a party engaged in exploration. Count Pfeill and Mr Rooholl met with a disaster in New Ireland. They were deserted by their who!, staff, comprising 80 carriers with provision., and instruments, and had to live on copra until rescued by a missionary from York Island. No traces were found of the deserters. Messrs Herring, Langemark. and Schmele, who were journeying overland from Matupi to see the country, wore .ttrprised by natives armed with snifters and spears. A*l three Were wounded.
