OTAGO DOCK LOAN.

HON. ROBERT CAMPBELL’S OPINION. A WARNING TO FINANCIERS. London, July 26. The Hon. Robert Campbell’s letter the Otago Dock Trust Loan wasKblished in the Standard. He warns financiers that the loan is not guaranteed by the New Zealand Government, and also that the amount is insufficient to complete the work. He further states that the revenue that would be derived would neither pay the interest on the amount borrowed nor working expenses. The agents for the Otago Dock Trust loan threaten to bring a libel action against the Hon R. Campbell for statements made in disparagement of the loan in his letter to the Standard.
