"Petrolea.”
Hs Haevt's annual pupils' concert, which takes place on Wednesday next (followed by * performance on Thursday), promises to be a musical treat of the first rank, as all Mr Harvy’e previous productions have been ; and the interest is considerably increased by the expectation! which are aroused by the local comic operetta “ Petrolea.” Tbs libretto will ■trike a vein of humor in which our community is prone to indulge, and the music is of that charming description that can be better felt than explained, pleasing alike to the refined or less musical ear. The firet part of the programme is to be occupied by Mr Harvy’s pupils, and we can rely on it that this alone will be an entertainment of a high musical order. The concert will probably take preoedenoe as the best of its class in the records of Gisborne.
