The other day a man named Calder hoi seven days’ imprisonment for being illegally on premises at the town nt Qrmondvills (Hawke's Bay). The School Committee of that place happened to go to the school oqe evening qt eight o'clock to hold a meeting, and when they entered they beheld the man sitting before a roaring fire.
