Lady Sandhurst, in an admirable article on ” Christianity and Socialism iu Politics, ” lays down some golden rules on education. b>he would wish to see every one instructed alike iu readiug, writing, arithmetic, and in the great truths of religion aud morality. After this sbe holds that all should follow their own bent. Higher education is not to the taste of all; but all should be taught above all things to “ recognise lhe nobility of work—good honest work—whether of the head or hands.”
