GREAT UNEASINESS. CONTINENTIAL BOURSES DEPRESSED GERMAN COUNCIL OF WAR. HUNGARIAN PRESS DEMAND THAT VIGOROUS MEASURE'S BE TAKEN probable Ultimatum. London, December 17. The Invalids Russe has an article on the situation of European affairs in which it states that Russia is now in a position to hold her own against any combination Of nations that is likely to confront her. The Hungarian press demand that for the safety of the Empire precautions should be immediately taken. Great uneasiness prevails on the Continent owing to the article in the Invalide Russe.
A war council, consisting of the Emperor William, Prince Wilhelm, General VimMoltke Count Voldersoe, and General Schelendrofi, was held in Berlin on Friday. London, Deo. 19. The Times fears that the feeling that pre. vails in Vienna will compel Count Kalnoky to forward an ultimatum to Russia. France is forming an ironclad squadron to bo stationed in the English Channel. Berlin, Deo. 18. The Reichstag unanimously favor the Bill for increasing the forces by half a million. It is the impression here that the article in the Invalids Russe indicates that the recent mobilisation is merely a disguise for defensive precautions.
