The Public Works Statement commenced to come through last night, but was not finished as we went to press this morning. The little Borough of New Plymouth went to the bad to the extent of £9442 6s 3d during the year 1886-7. A leading feature of the centennial celebration will be a concert by 1,500 Sydney public school teachers and children. This season’s Victorian wheat yield is computed at 15,400,000 bushels.
