WEAKNESS OF THE NAVY.

ANOTHER STRONG CONDEMNATION. London, October 30.

Sir Charles Dilke, writing in the Fortnightly Review, says that the British army and navy is dangerously weak. In case of an invasion they were exposed to the bombardment of commercial towns or loss of some coaling station. He contended that the Colonies relying solely on England for war material increases the danger. The article, coming so soon after the utterances of Lord Chai'les Beresford and Lord Randolph Churchill has caused considerable attention.
