The directors of the Minerva Petroleum Company have lost no time in preparing to make an immediate start at the work. At a meeting on Tuesday Mr Stubbs reported that while in Christchurch he had ordered all the necessary plant to commence operations. The manager reported that upwards of 12,000 shares had been applied for, and Messrs Teat and Stubbs were empowered to allot on application. It was resolved to put the bore at day labour. Mr Stubbs was appointed Managing Director.
