A shocking fatality occurred on June 2 at about three o’clock in Westminster Abbey. Whilt.t the laborers were engaged in fixing the scaffolding inside the Abbey, one of the men f lipped and fell on to some iron railings underneath the scaffolding. The spikes of the railings pierced his body in several places; and w hen the man was found he was fastened to the spikes. He was immediately conveyed to tho Westminster Hospital, and died at seven .o’clock. The man, whose name is unknown, is about thirty years of age. He had 'ramped from Manchester to London, and had tt.ken shelter in the Strand Union at Edmonton, but afterwards had obtained work in the Abbey.
