EGYPT AND NEW HEBRIDES. Loftucs, Augpst 11. Sir J. Ferguson stated in the House of Comrfidns that England had not consented to make the evacuation of the New Hebrides contingent on an agreement to neutralize the Suez Canal. Two despatches had recently bien exchanged between Franee and England on the subject. Paris, August 11, The 'Official J Journal to-day announces that Mr Egerton, secretary to the British Legation, had an interview yesterday with M. Flourens, Minister for Foreign Affair s at which he asked that a date should be named within which the French forces would evacuate the Nev Hebrides. M. Flourens stated he was unable to reply precisely, so long as the intentions of England with regard to Egypt, and tne proposed neutralisation of the Suez Canal remained undisclosed.
