London, July ffi Lord Charles Bqresfdrd Ha* tendered Ml resignation as one of the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, owing to a technical-breach of etiquette in the signalling of a private message from the Queen's yacht during the naval review at Spithead. It is not •fcpfioted that ills Lordahip’i resignation will be accepted. , . .. idly & The circumstances of Lord Beresford'S resignation as given by the newspaper* are oq follows:—The Queen was,ln the saloon oi the Royal yacht, receiving the captains of the vessels which took part in the naval review at Spithead. - During this oeremony Lord Beresford signalled to his wile, who was on board the Enchantress, appointing a rendezvous after the review. Ths rules of the service forbid signalling while the Sovereign is on board, except by Royal oomcommand, and on ascertaining this Lord Beresford sent in hie resignation to the Admiralty, A hope is expressed that the Queen will Reinstate him.
