SHE THANKS THE NATION. WHO IS TO PAY THE BILL ? AN EXTRAORDINARY RUMOUR. London, June 26. The Queen has gazetted a letter warmly thanking the people for the enthusiam dis«at her reception in London and or. She also praised the wonderful order and the good behaviour of the enormous multitudes which thronged London. Their conduct merited the highest admiration. Her Majesty was most deeply touched by the loyalty shown, proving the labor and anxiety of fifty long years, twenty two of which were spent in unclouded happiness, and the rest. lull of sorrow and trials was appreciated, and that she felt encouraged to continue her very difficult and arduous task during the remainder of her lite, Considerable comment has been occasioned by a statement published in the " Citizen " that the Queen intends to apply to Parliament for the re-imburaement of the Jubilee expenses,
