Mrs Harriet Beecher Stowe received the news of her brother’s death with compcsure, at her home in Hartford. She is a year older than Mr Beecher, and is so feeble that she was unable to attend the funeral. During Mr Bee ’ber’s last visit to his sister, last Utumr. ne is said to express his belief in {approaching death, and that it would be apoplexy.
