Semi-finals in the McCreath Cup competition at the week-end were won by D. R. Ryder, who beat C. Harrison 1 up; and J. Alexander, who beat R. Davies 2 up. Semi-finals in the four-ball championship resulted in wins for J. Queripel and D. Fountaine ,who beat J. Jones and R. Smith at the 21st, and R. Broberg and H. Maitland, who beat J. Brown and W. Pearson 5 and 4. A four-ball bestball bogey played on Saturday was won by F. Hinton and E. Holder. 6 up. J.' Queripel and A. Pain (3 up) were second, and O. Evans and J. Slee (2 up) were third. On Sunday the weekly four-ball bogey was won by H. Maitland and R. Broberg with 9 up. Others to score well were A. Shields and A. Meek, and J. Brown and W. Pearson 7 up; J. Alexander and F. Hinton G up; A. Pain and A. Crock, and H. Lovell and W. Miller 5 up; S. Stacey and B. Lovell, and T. Miller and R. Wilkinson 4 up.
