PICKED WRONG HORSE
AUCKLAND,' Nov. 14. The best election quip to date concerns the well-known racehorse, Tauloch. A Nationalist supporter ventured into racing parlance to predict the election result. He placed first: Tauloch, ridden by S. G. Holland, owned bj' W. S. Goosman. Unfortunately for him, as he was speedily reminded the same day that Tauloch “was very sore” and unlikely to race . again!
