HARIHARI NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent) His Lordship Bishop P. F. Lyons, along with Rev. Father Liddy, of Christchurch, paid a brief visit on Saturday last to this district. Mr G. Diedrich, of Evans Creek, has returned from Christchurch. Messrs G. Rowley (County Chairman), Shannon (County Councillor), and Clark (County Engineer) visited this locality last week. Mrs P. Sweeney, who has been on a visit here, returned to Palmerston North this week. Mr L. S. Robertson, of Karoro, paid a visit here for the week-end. Recent /visitors to the district have included Messrs McNabb and Webster, of the Labour Department, Greymouth. Mr and Mrs Stewart and daughters, of Christchurch, have taken up their residence here. Mr K. Adamson is at present on a visit to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs J. Ford have returned from Christchurch. Messrs Perry and McGowan, of Evans Creek, paid a business visit to Karangarua last week. Mr P. Sweeney, of N.Z. Road Services, spent the week-end at Hokitika. Miss Nola McNabb, of Greymouth, was a visitor here last week. Whitebait have in this district been by no means plentiful lately. The majority of the fishermen will have withdrawn their nets from the rivers by the end of the month.
