SICILIAN BANDITS AGAIN FIGHT POLICE
(N.Z.P.A.—REUTER CABLE) (Rec. 9.40). PALERMO, Nov. 13. The Sicilian bandit, Salvatore Giuliano, to-day re-opened war against the Italian Security Police, with two ambushes. In the first of these, two policemen were wounded. In the second, the police countered the bandits’ sniping from a road mender’s house near Favorita, They made a handgrenade charge, and captured a wounded bandit, who later was identified as a man who had been hunted for* tv o years on a charge of murdering two policemen.
