INDIAN PREMIER

NEW YORK, November 6. Pandit Nehru said to-day he believed his twenty-six-day visit to the United States would bring about closer relations between the Western world and Asia. Nehru said that questions about East-West relations had been asked of him in America over and over again. Some people had a misconception about what was meant by “The East.” He added: “If by ‘East’ you mean Asia, T certainly think that relations between East and West will be drawn closer by my visit." Pandit Nehru will leave aboard President Truman’s private, plane to-morrow for London. (Rec 10.30). LONDON, Nov 8.
