MURDER AND SUICIDE MYSTERY
NEW YORK, November 4. Pretty Mushana Blanska Zolyax, aged 33, and Wei Huan Kuo, aged 28, a Chinese documents clerk employed in the United Nations, were found fatally stabbed in a hotel room to-day. Mrs Zolyak was a naturalised American. Her husband is employed in the State Department’s European Research Division in Washington. She was a translator and announcer for the Voice of America, the Stale Department’s broadcasting station. The police classified the tragedy as murder and suicide. The bodies were found lying across a bed with a bloodstained hunting knife nearby. They had returned to their hotel room after an evening at the ballet, “Sleeping Beauty”. The man plunged the knife into the woman’s body seventeen times and then lay down on the bed beside Mrs Zolyak and drove the knife six times into his own chest. The police could find no motive for the tragedy. There was no evidence of a struggle and no suicide notes. The couple had been dead about eight hours when the bodies were discovered.
