Award For Damaged Cargo

WELLINGTON, Nov 4. Holding that the New Zealand speedboat ‘‘Redhead” had been improperly stowed on the ship Hollypack durng a voyage from Sydney to Wellington, in April, Mr J. SHanna, ’S.M., to-day awarded lull damages claimed by the ownev, Len B. Southward, in an action against the Union Steam Ship Company. The plaintiff claimed that the speed-boat had been landed at Wellington m e damaged condition and claimed £BO 12s lid, being the maximum provided for in the bill of lading. Evidence was gven that the damage to the speedboat, amounted to £355 14s 9d.
