Canada Abolishes Privy Council Appeals
OTTAWA, Oct 3. The Canadian Senate has passed a Bill making the Canadian Supreme Court the final Court of Appeal and abolishing appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. The Bill has already been passed by Lie Canadian House of Commons. It now awaits formal Royal assent to become law.
