BALKAN CAULDRON
NEW YORK, November 3 The Greek Government was accused of following a policy of aggression towards Albania by Albania’s representative before 'the- United xfations General Assembly Political Committee, which had invited representatives of Albania and Bulgaria to attend a session and make statements and reply to questions on the Balkans situation. Mr. Mihai Prifti, Albania’s DeputyForeign Minister, who appeared before the committee, said that Greece was in the grip of “oppression and terror caused by the intervention of , the British and American Governments.” He added that British and American “imperialists” were using Greece as “an aggressive bridgehead in their war plans against the Soviet Union.” Mr. Prifti said that he asked the United Nations to condemn the Greek Government as an aggressor, to reject the Balkan Commission’s report as “groundless” and disband the commission, to condemn “the intervention of Britain and--'America in Greece,” and to demand the immediate withdrawal of Allied troops. Mr. Dissim Mevorah, the Bulgarian representative, said that accusations against Bulgaria that she had given material assistance to the Greek partisans were false, “if the political independence of Greece is jeopardised, it is not by us,” he said.
